On our way to our holidaydestination we made a stop at the Beelitz Heilstätten, erected from 1898 on according to plans of architect Heino Schmieden. Originally designed as a sanatorium by the Berlin workers’ health insurance corporation, the complex from the beginning of World War I on was a military hospital of the Imperial German Army. During October and November 1916, Adolf Hitler recuperated at Beelitz-Heilstätten after being wounded in the leg at the Battle of the Somme.

Last weekend my partner in crime,Thomas Adorff, and myself headed to the north to join the seventh German Fetish Ball in Hamburg as Thomas had an exhibition of his photos as a part of the fair. It wasn’t the first time for Thomas and he always was very enthusiastic about the people and the party itself… Well, he was absolutely right!
